What We Can Do!

At CWELC we want each of the children to get their Child World Head Start. Through the early stages we teach the children different subjects and cater specifically to their needs. Below is a list of a few of the services that we currently offer:

After-School Program: We provide before and after school care. PG county bus pickup and drop-off.

Certified Professionals: Each of our teachers goes through an extensive background check to ensure the safety is first.

Free Lunch & Snacks: We like to keep the children well fed. Some of our previous lunch/snacks were ‘ants on a log’ , a fun snack that consists of celery, peanut butter, and raisins.

We Help Children Become Life-Long Learners: At CWELC, to do that effectively, we create a learning environment to suit each specific age group. That influences classroom space and design, toys, games, art materials, music. movement, cleanliness, playgrounds, meals, and more. In addition, the classroom setting is designed to give our teachers the most opportunities to spend quality time with your child. One way we do that is to reduce the amount of paperwork and planning the teachers do.

Programs to Develop Life-Long Learners: At CWELC we help children to become life-long learners. To do that effectively, we create a learning environment to suit each specific age group. Learning experiences that are age-appropriate for your child. The teaching professionals at  Child World Early Learning Center create unique, theme-based lesson plans throughout the year. Our main resource is Abeka Preschool Curriculum, created by Companies. This guide provides developmentally appropriate topics and lessons with activity ideas and teaching suggestions for the early education of preschool age children.

Learning Through Play: Our program presents weekly units through which children can discover and delight in important aspects of their world. Theme-related activities within each lesson are clustered according to the area of development or interest they primarily address, for example: art, blocks, cognitive, dramatic play, fine motor, gross motor, group, library, music, nutrition, sand and water, and science/discovery. Enrichment activities are also suggested that promote community exploration and involvement. The units are arranged in a sequence that gradually expands the child’s focus from self, family, and home, to school, community, and the natural environment.

Fun and Meaningful Learning Activities: Children are motivated to learn when they have choices about the activities in which they engage. They are naturally curious and energetic, and learn best when they feel good about themselves and their surroundings. We strive to meet the needs of the young child by providing a healthy and safe environment where children will flourish.
